Florida — Florida Keys
The Florida Keys, a string of tropical islands, scratches about 120 miles off the southern tip of Florida between the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. They’re known as a destination for fishing, boating, snorkeling and scuba diving. The southernmost city of Key West is famous for Duval Street’s many bars, Malloy Square’s nightly Sunset Celebration, and the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum.

Florida — St. Augustine
St. Augustine, on the northeast coast of Florida, was founded in 1565 by Castilian colonists and is the oldest continuously inhabited European-established settlement in the contiguous United States. St. Augustine is on US 1 and is accessible from I-95. i-95 Exit Guide states: “Whether visitors want to explore old lifestyles and long-ago wars, marvel at unique oddities, or see reenactments of days gone by, this historical city will provide an entire vacation’s worth of activities. Many tours of the city are available by horse-drawn carriage, train or trolley. Area events are known for their pageantry and individual charm.”

South Carolina — Charleston
Charleston, S.C.,was founded in 1670 and named to honor King Charles II of England, Scotland and Ireland. It was a major trading port for enslaved Africans. In 1718, Blackbeard and his fleet, including his ship, Queen Anne’s Revenge, blockaded the Charleston harbor and left with a medical chest.
